Brookline resident Megan Shea, founder of online eldercare resource RetireLife.net, competed on the premier of “Top Entrepreneur,” a local reality show in which start-up business owners square off in front of a panel of experts. She competed against Dennis O’Connor of Worcester, an Assumption College graduate and father of four, who, after being laid off in January, turned 20-plus years of know-how into Worcester-based Superior Waste and Recycling. O’Connor’s business was named the winner.
Panelists were Robert Lewis, president of Bay State Savings Bank; Michael Refolo, a business lawyer with Mirick O’Connell; and Fern Nissim, president of Round Pond Group and co-producer of the show. Host and co-producer John DiPietro is president of Advanced Business Concepts DiPietro Co.
